Low ORP and pH in new tank.

I have a new tank that is currently cycling and consistent displays an ORP < 170 and a pH in the low 7’s, (I calibrated it twice). Is this normal behavior for a new tank or is there a problem?

While it's cycling I wouldn't be too overly concerned. Once it's cycled, you have a skimmer and wavemakers going you'll probably see ORP, pH and alkalinity levels increase.

I’d be surprised if pH us really in the low 7’s. How are you measuring it?

I’m not great at those color comparison scales but it’s definitely low, but likely not THAT low.
