I recently stopped dosing alkalinity and my PH seems to have dropped quite a bit from 7.9 down to 7.0 and sometimes 6.5.

What should I do to raise my PH without adding alk to my tank. I would like to keep my ALK at the same range ad it is now.

The first thing I would do is re-test both manually (and for pH, note the time and compare the value with the Neptune pH sensor). Second, how is the air in your house? Do you have an air exchange, open windows, etc.

I was thinking the sensor is faulty as well or maybe the calibration is off.

I don't see any negative signs in the tank even though the PH is being that low.

Air in the room isn't too bad I leave the window open I the morning and fan on all day. Don't think there's any CO2 issue.

When was the last time you cleaned and recalibrated your pH probe?

Assuming the probe is calibrated correctly then you probably have high co2 levels in the tank so increase aeration and see if that helps.

If you have an enclosed sump you could also open the stand doors for a few hours, maybe run a fan in the room to increase air circulation. Might help a bit.

Thanks for the support. I currently started to dose kalkwasser and leave my sump doors open and my PH is gradually moving back to normal levels.
