Low ph and soft coral

I have read that low ph causes issues with calcification of stony corals, but have not read what, if any effects it has on soft coral. For this example, let's assume low ph is 7.6.

A pH of 7.6 is problematic because calcium carbonate can begin dissolving at that level. It might be less of a concern if you don't have stony corals, but it's pretty far outside normal ranges. How are you testing pH?

I don't typically test ph but when I have it has been around 8-8.2. I was asking because I haven't ever seen it mentioned and was just curious.

Low ph could effect soft coral because they do deposit some calcium carbonate iirc for their structure. Its not nearly as much as sps.
