Low pH high KH

The pH in my tank runs about 7.8. When I use SeaChem Marine Buffer to raise it to 8.3 but when I do my Kh tests at over 1500. Any ideas on what I should do?

First, stop wasting money on that buffer. There are far better alk supplements if the goal is a pH boost.

Second, check out the many threads on raising pH by reducing CO2 in the air and water.
