I've had my tank since 2009 had a lot of SPS then they died and I ran with a lot if mushrooms and fish for the last two years. I decided to get back into SPS and have about 20 frags and a new 5" clam. I was just keeping parameters up with Kalkwasser. Everything was looking great. I decided to start my calcium reactor back up slowly putting less kalk into the top off water. Mp PH over the last week has gone down as low as 7.49, 7.48, 7.48 the last three nights. I lost 4 really nice pieces over those nights. Waking to pure white RTN, the flesh just missing over night. Had the PH in the reactor between 7 and 6.7 as I have been adjusting. I just shut down the reactor and gone back to just Kalk for now. I am able to keep up right now.
Salinity 400
Alk been between 7.9 and 9 over two weeks adjusting the Calcium Reactor, I check every morning.
Mag 1450
Phos 0.03
Nitrate undetectable

calcium is low too...
Nitrate undetectable
I don't think ph is causing your corals to die overnight. undetectable nitrates will cause a problem with your corals over time. probably something else bothering them...

Do you have a secondary reactor chamber on the CaRX? I think that must really help with ph as my CaRX setup has higher ph than my dosing setup in the same house. Ph below 7.5 could be a problem and may need to look at some other alternatives such as airline to skimmer, or even co2 scrubbing. Kalk can only do so much!

Yes my reactor has two chambers and I have a peralistic pump to adjust the flow

I have 7 fish a large Bristle star and a Arrowhead crab so decent Bio load, feeding one cube a day.
Tank is 60 gallon with 30 gallon sump
