How old in your setup? Your inhabitants are looking for consistent parameters. There are ways to increase PH by simply opening a window in the room. This will remove any excess oxygen molecules around the surface of the water thus allowing PH to rise. You can also add extra power head at the surface of your aquarium and/or air-stone in the sump if you have one. Also check your Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium. Typically higher alkalinity will help maintain a higher PH, but to do this your calcium and magnesium levels need to be adequate.New to reefing, my pH is low 7.8 - 7.9
what can I do to level that?
thank you in advanced
Yeah your tank is extremely young and hasn't fully cycled. My aquarium holds a PH of 8.1 - 8.3. PH raises during the day with lights on and decreases at night so it will always fluctuate throughout the day. My PH levels for the first 6 months would fluctuate from 7.8 - 8.0. It just needs time to age... be patient2.5 weeks old in my tank. Barely got rid of a diatom bloom.
Thanks, will do though.

+1 exactlyAlso what are you doing for filtration, If you have a skimmer that will bump ph, and routing the line that sucks air to outside will increase ph as well
Thank you, yes—I’ve learned that patience is one of the main pieces to this hobby, love it.20 years in the hobby and I still have 7.8 every morning before I dose ESV B-Ionic. I did manage to keep it steady for years when using a calcium reactor, but I chose not to continue using the reactor after hearing of one guy who's regulator blew up due to corrosion. Don't give it too much thought this early in the game. Just focus on good maintenance, and I bet it'll work out![]()
