Hey guys, I recently acquired three purple queen anthias. I have read that they are finicky and need to be fed often. The last two days I have been feeding a bit more frequently and have caused a bit of a nitrate Spike. I have it under control but I was wondering if you guys could suggest foods that are extremely low on pollutants. Phosphate a nitrate whatever. Or possibly just more readily eaten so that the nutrients do not Escape into my system. Thanks in advance

Tuka? In the past,it took me a while to get them feeding on my prefered frozen. Right now i have evansi anthias, witch eat the smaller particles of lrs reef frenzy. Neither tuka nor evansi ate flakes or pellets. Now for nutrient related issues, why not try brine?

Brine was my next try. But live brine is hard to come by here. & I would imagine frozen is not much better although I will give it a shot. I'm not sure if they are called to tuka they are purple with a yellow stripe going down there back

Food is food. If you find something low in P/N it will be low in nutrients. Even if the fish eat every drop, the pollution will come out the other end.

So there is no difference? Like, higher vitamins and good stuff with less waste product
