I currently have my skimmer and ATO to turn off during feed mode and come back on 5 minutes after the return pump is back online. 2 out of the last 4 times, my sump water level settles out below the optical sensor of my Tunze Osmolator. At first I thought it may have been due to adjusting flow rate out of the return pump, but it doesn't explain the last two times. I'm now keeping a constant eye on water level. My thought is maybe my Osmolator pump is not moving water at times and ends up shutting itself off. Anyone have any similar experience with this? Could it be something else?

Is the optical sensor clean? Sounds like it just doesn't call for water when it should. After feed mode ends the sump water level has to return to whatever it was when feed mode started - so water level must have been low to begin with.

Thanks @don_chuwish . I've cleaned optical sensor and now keeping an eye on the pump to make sure it's pumping water.
