Lowe’s muriatic acid

Can someone confirm that this is safe to lower alk in IO salt?

I picked this up from Lowe’s because my pool supply place was out of the other acid I usually get.

I noticed it takes 3 times as much of this to lower the alk down than the other stuff I normally get.

Its slightly different and less potent thats why.

Commercial pool acid is 31.45% hydrochloric acid (aqueous solution)

You have 14% hydrogen chloride (gas)

It should be ok though as its all HCI.

I remember buying quarts of it waay back at my local ace hardware or home depot and it was STRONG..dump it in a 32 gal trash can and it would smoke like crazy !...very effective though....this new stuff is like muriatic acid " light " ...
