I'm looking for a coral that can handle lower light, that grows fairly fast with vibrant colors. I have a huge RBTA that sits on the top 1/3 of my tank and I have several rocks underneath it that I would like to add some coral to. These coral will be shaded quite a bit because of the RBTA. Thoughts on potential coral I can add?

Wellso or maybe a nice lobo? But they don't grow super fast. COuld try some nice zoas or mushrooms. Could try a cyphastrea? SO many...

Acans come in a lot of different colors and do well in lower light

Any clue what par range and flow? I am thinking chalices would be nice. They have some of the best color out there

I have tried Acans in that spot, but they end up turning orange and losing all color. I really don't know the par range to be honest. Flow would be moderate, it's directly under one of my wavemakers. I was thinking I would try a few mushrooms and see if it would work.

I too recommend you think about LPS corals. The reason they can handle lower light is because you can target feed them to achieve nutritional needs. chalices and lobos can both handle very low light as long as you can commit to regular feeding.

can I broadcast feed or does it need to be spot fed?

Blueberry Gorgonian isnt photosynthetic, it's pretty too. Not sure how fast it grows tho.

I think there's a couple Gorgonian like that
