I am trying to lower Nitrates and P04 in my tank. I have a fuge setup and running with chaeto but from what I have seen, its a slower grow process. I usually run a fuge and chaeto more as a home and refuge for pods and bacteria to colonize; not so much for nutrient export.
I have a algae scrubber that will be online in the very near future which I hear is far more efficient at growing algae so No3 and P04 can be removed when you trim the algae down.
Is there any other methods of more efficient removal? Just curious what else is out there.
