Lowering nitrates with Bamboo tree?

hello,

I might sound crazy or silly but this came to my mind and wanted to ask it here to see if anyone has tried it.

Have anyone tried to use bamboo tree with their roots in the water to lower the nitrates in the tank?

From what I have watched on youtube videos plants of some sort use nitrate to feed on so wonder if someone have used these plants to do sp or even if they live in a salty water.

That was quick thanks for the info I didnt want to kill either of them neither the tree nor the fish in the tank. Thanks again
