My Nitrates have been running consistently above 10 and phosphate near .10.

I have a refugium.

What would be the next step in lowering?
I do not feed heavy.

Thanks!

Why lower? These numbers look good! What corals do you have, and are you having any problems with them?

Numbers are not bad but if you want lower here’s what you can do:

Stop feeding, switch to frozen foods
Use a bacteria that breaks down nitrates
Vodka dosing
Clean sand bed

A few months ago you were trying to raise nutrients from 0.

Again, nitrate of 10 and phos of 0.1 are good.

True enough. Finally got enough fish in there.

Guess I’m just looking for the next thing to do. Probably should just take the stable numbers.

Mostly SPS acros on the top. Some euphelia lower down.

Not thrilled with the colors. I think that is mostly driving this.
Colors in nature are often more drab than the saturated pics we see online...

Euphyllia needs nitrates and phosphates... 10 is on the low end for nitrates
