HEY EVERYONE HAPPY REEFING OUT THERE. Question about temperature control. I have my heaters off right now. And my tank is at 84 what should I do to lower the temperature? I have my lights return pump and skimmer running as of now. All the help would be appreciated

A fan blowing across the top of the tank will help and in the past I would get a empty gallon milk jug filled with water and froze it and put it in my sump on hot days

The most common solution is a fan across the top of the tank. Additionally, review your tank, pumps, lights, etc. to see where the heat is coming from as well as comparing the temperature in the room to the water temperature (can you turn off any of those pumps or lights during the hot part of the day?). Obviously a chiller is also an option albeit more expensive.

The return pump no. The lights and skimmer yes

Although it might seem obvious, make sure that you are using an accurate thermometer - or even use more than one (don't ask me how I know!). :(
