Lowest salinity for anemone's

looking to do a fowlr tank with an anemone. What is the lowest salinity you have successfully had an anemone in?

1.019 with a BTA in my QT tank. I would not say it thrived, though that may have been for other reasons.

1.019 is ideal for fish only i think I'm going to do 1.021. As much as I love corals I just don't have the time to monitor it all the time

Best to keep it at 1.026 if you’re going to be keeping a anemone. They need stable parameters so if you aren’t going to be monitoring it then don’t get one

I had an amazing reef 125 completely full of coral and a giant bta and all I did was water changes every other week for atleast 8 years until aphasia ruined it so what ur saying isn't 100% correct

Did you know you can use BTA to kill aptasia ? they will out-sting them to death every time.

Big difference from having a water change schedule to keeping parameters stable

That’s not true. I’ve had some right next to bubble tips and they stayed unbothered by the stings

I agree I was just saying it was beautiful with no problems just doing the water changes and not dosing anything.

Not sure if they got killed or the aiptaisa moved but when my bta split and relocated lower all the aiptasia that were on the rock disappeared so there may be some truth to this.

Per original question. I keep mine at 1.026 but have had no issues at 1.023

I've had an anemone in my fish only for about 3 years and my salinity is at 1.009 and it seems to be great. Tried corals but it eventually died about 2 weeks later. So trying a frag tank at 1.025-1.026 sailinty. Hopefully this helps
