was doing a formalin dip on 3 fish before going into tank, unplugged heater of water change bin from which I was putting into tank, and my temp in tank went from 75 to 70. My formalin bucket was 75, and realized tank was going to be 5 degrees colder, so I unplugged heater in formalin bucket and got it down to 73 and deciding rather then keep them in formalin for over 45 minutes, the 3 degree difference was less dangerous.

Tankis warming up now , up to 71.5, do you believe these fish will make it from hitting 70 from 73?

While not ideal to add temp stress I think the 3 degree difference won’t be an issue.

Is 70 to low for a short period of time? It’s current 72.2, I’m guessing by morning it will be 76

They'll tolerate lower temps for longer periods of time vs higher. I think you'll be ok.
