i’m setting up a new 180 gallon from scratch would like to do LPS dominant going to break down my 75 gallon but have some softies a nice toadstool and a Devil hand leather that I had from a little peons and wondering if I will be able to bring those to my new tank without any issues thank you

If you are transferring over all of your live rock, sand, and water then I don't see why transferring the corals would be an issue. Just make sure your 105 gallons of new water in the 180 is at the same temperature and salinity. If you are starting with all new water you should be fine too with just a short drip acclimation process, watch out for temperature again. But if you are starting a new system completely you will have to cycle the tank again.

I transferred all of my livestock from a 45 to my red sea reefer 350 with no issues. Needed about 50 gallons of new water and had new sand, but used the old rock.

i’m just setting up a 40 gallon breeder just to hold my fish and some stuff and will be taking the water from my 75 directly into the 40 breather so I know that won’t be a problem I’m starting all over with dry rock sand everything though I don’t want no critters and I will dip everything was wondering if those two softies will be OK in LPS after I get it set up probably won’t be ready to put stuff in for six months I’m going to take it slow and do it right

I think they should be fine. As long as you give them light, flow, and maintain key elements/parameters I don't see why they couldn't survive in a 40 gallon breeder holder tank for 6 months.

but will it cause a problem when I get my 180 set up the put them in with the LPS

can I put two softies in the LPS I know they give off different toxins and like dirtier water i’m not worried about transferring him and keeping him alive I’m worried about put them in my new tank that I want to be LPS dominant
