We are new to salt and our tank has been up and running. Fully cycled and my ocd I monitor the parameters daily to every other day with graphs to see if there are swings.
We started adding corals and so far our large torch coral and hammer coral have been happy with the flow I provided them. The torch does not have thick tenticals but good side. Opens and closes every day and night with no issue.

should torches be thick or on the thinner side?

we also picked up a Duncan and a Goni last night. Still on the frag plugs deciding where to put them. The Duncan has low to moderate flow similar to the hammer. Should it be less?

whwre would the best place for Goni be? It’s a decent size with around 20-30 heads. Right now it is on the frag rack about 2/3 down with moderate flow and opened up as soon as it was in the tank.

just looking for suggestions as like I said we are new and I would like this to be successful

Outside of the Duncan, you chose corals that probably shouldn't be the first ones in your tank.

As far as placement, Duncan should be on the bottom in low/moderate flow. Same for the goni. I suggest keeping the goni off the sand bed. I mount mine on rocks, then place the rock on the sand.

With a young tank, a torch may not do well, same with the goni. Anyways, low to moderate flow, moderate lighting, but start everything at the bottom of the tank and gradually move it up to desired place, and let the coral tell you if it likes it.
