Hi, I'm a newbie

I have started a 20 gallon high tank, I am curious on how to know if a Torch or Hammer needs more light?
Are there any body signs?

Thank you

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

What type of lighting do you have it under?

Do you have a pic of it?

The Torch's and Hammers are extremely light demanding corals, if it seems to be opened fully and growing it should be fine.

Hi, thanks for the welcome

I have it on T4 lights 4 x 24 watts.. Right now my tank is a mess with Diatom everywhere. My clown died after the first day it was in the tank I think is because of accumulation, after I put some mysis shrimp in the tank, he immediately died. Check the water everything was fine..Nitrate was 5 or less.. no nitrite or amm.

Can you recommend me a led fixture?

thanks

thanks

It was most like due to osmoiregulation not sure on spelling. Bassically when a lfs keeps their water at 1.016 salinity you should do 50% water changes in the acclimation container ever 5 minutes until salinity is equal to your tank.
