Hey everyone, I was just wondering what the problem is. See I bought a wall hammer coral, had it for like a month, and now it looks like it's gonna die. Furthermore, I think this is affecting my acan lord corals, as they have not puffed up today which worries me. What could be the problem? Please help, it seems like it could potentially crash my nano system of 6 months.

Please post your water chemistry, calcium, alkalinity, SG, nitrates and phosphates. I would start with a couple smaller water changes to correct any obvious chemistry issues if you are unable to test.

I found the problem. The hammer seems to have an infection or something, but the acans I just found that my butterflyfish has been picking at them. I'm going back to my LFS tomorrow to save my corals. I really thought I could keep one but it just seems he'd rather murder them instead. On the other hand I used a coke bottle as a temporary shield for now. Yep, but the acans are fine now. I also got some nasty hair algae & red slime algae that might be a problem for the hammer? I'll accept the hammers' fate as I'm clearly not prepared for euphyllias :(. I'll check the current params tomorrow. Ohh and yeah, I did a 20% water change, so hopefully that'll help.
