Had my tank set up about a year. Switched to reef breeders value leds about 2-3 months ago. In the last 2 weeks, been loosing lps. Blastos where the first to go, half open and then just melted away slowly. My orange wall hammer now is full and open but back end melted over night has a few polyps left hanging. 1 acan colony melted away fast but the one right next to it is still there and looking great. Tank has been running about a year. Added a phosphate reactor before this started but took it offline after the blastos melted thinking water to clean or something. Params are as follows. sg 1.026, ph 8.2, alk 7, amm 0, trite 0, trate 0, phosphate 0, calcium 480, mag 1170-1200. I am lost as to whats going on. All I can think is lighting. Had the blue led lowest setting and white about a quarter up. They run from 11am to 9pm. Sps are fine and rics/yuma lobo all other acans look great. Too much lighting or not enough? Any opinions are great. Hate watching them melt lol orange wall hammer will really hurt me .. Oh waterflow is pretty good have 2 hydor koralia 1050 and a mag 6 return, this is a 75 gallon tank. Here is the hammer the back towards the other hammer just happened overnight.

You need a little nitrate and phosphate in your tank, especially for LPS. Your ALK and MAG are low also. Do you have a ramp up time or are your lights all the way on for the whole 10 hours? What kind of lighting did you replace?

I only have experience with Vega LEDs, but I would think you could turn your blues up to 30% to 35% and your whites up to 40 or 45%. Shorten the time the lights are fully on to 6 - 8 hours.

My frogspawn and some blastos didn't do well under leds until I moved them to lower light areas. I would think possibly too much direct light. Leds are powerful.

Yeah, when I got mine, I moved mine to lower light as well. I have moved them up slowly over time though.

Replaced some old cree value fixtures. Blues turn on at 11am then whites come on at 12pm, whites off at 7 blues stay on till 9pm. Alk and mag going to fix that. Will try to get some trate and phos in the tank. And lower photo period to 7 hours. Thanks for the responses.)

It looks like it could be RTN. Have you dipped it yet? You can use airline tubing to siphon off the dying/necrotic tissue and then you may want to give the coral a dip in an Iodine solution like Pro Coral cure to help prevent the spread of the RTN.

Wanna make sure you do get the necrotic tissue removed , stuff spreads. I would take all the LPS and get it shaded, I must be one of the lucky ones but have been able to run my lights at close to 100% all the time however I did make shelves in my aquascape to put my sensitive coral under.
