I know I Know...asking to much but playing around with the idea of upgrading to a 230 tank

I doubt there is bit wanted to ask the family. I am an LPS guys but will have a few softies and SPS hee and there so a mixed reef I guess but focusing on LPS more.

that said looking for a show fish and of the smaller large angel fit this?

They aren’t as nice as say a Red Sea Regal or Majestic Angel in my opinion, but look at the Genicanthus genus angels. Some of them are very beautiful fish.

What he said.... a female Bellus is a beautiful fish, and will not eat your corals!
Mine for reference

Never a such animal as asking too many questions. Questions save time, money, and lives!

Genicanthius angels would be your best bet.

Watanebei Angelfish pair are fantastic. Swallowtails are also awesome in a Male/Female pair. ...now that I start typing, all of them are awesome. They are cool because you can have pairs and sometimes trios of sexually dimorphic fish... rare in our hobby.

Most large or dwarf angels are going to be problematic with some LPS. Can do euphyllia and chalice, but the big fleshy LPS are likely lunch. I do keep a masked swallowtail pair and they are cool.

thanks guys. I have a flame for about a year plus with acans, 3 trachys and a few good sized lobos so far so good. was hoping to get a large angel but in the end its not work it I guess I like coal more that the fish. unless I went all FOWLR and I have thought about it a few times for sure.
tangs angels and butterflies or tangs, wrasses and coral....
hmmmm
