Hey reefers I have a lps/ softies in my 200g 60x30x24 I’m running 2 mp40 I would really appreciate it if someone can help with a good setting I get a lot of Detritus build up on the sand. But I’m looking for good flow and where to place the pump. I was thinking putting them on same side at the top for sure face moving

What's your feeding regimen, and what kind of CUC do you have? I wouldn't think that you'd have such a great amount of detritus unless you're understocked with hermits and snails (and urchins) or have a heavy load of herbivores.

Your aquascape could be blocking flow, but the MP40s should provide adequate coverage in your tank. Are you using them in Nutrient Transport Mode, and is at least one placed relatively low in the tank?

I have 2 mp40’s and a Maxspect Gyre 4K in a 100g display tank mainly SPS but I have Kenya tree, Xenia, Cespitularia, neon sinularia, GSP along with goniopora and hammers. All can take a good amount of flow . (Check out my build thread to see how they look)

I have MP40’s at reef crest 80% on the upper half of the back wall and the gyre 4K at the top of right wall near the surface pointed down about 45 degrees surging 40% to 80% in 20 second intervals. If SPS isn’t an issue, I’d say 1/2 that intensity would be fine and still blow detritus around!

I'd raise one of the power heads so that the surface tension is disrupted, and lower the other just above the point where it blows around the substrate.

It looks like you're getting some natural sunlight falling on your tank -- can you block that? It may be contributing the growth of what looks like some type of cyano or diatom growth. I didn't see any great accumulations of detritus, but I wasn't able to zoom in on the pictures.

Is your tank new? I don't see any coralline growth. If it's less than a year old, you may well just be an ugly (nuisance algae) phase, and have to wait until the tank matures. The addition of a lot more snails and urchins wouldn't hurt, although I'm not sure if they'd survive your triggerfish.

In terms of settings, you probably have plenty of flexibility to blow detritus while getting nice movement of softies and LPS. There's plenty of power in those pumps. I would think something more constant with gradual build up (possibly Gyre mode) would make softies and LPS sway nicely then set the intensity high enough to blow detritus around. Here's a few threads to look through:
