The Duncan Coral is one of many LPS corals that seem to just take off in amazing growth spurts! This usually allows the reefer to fill a void area in their aquarium fairly rapidly and also benefit from propagation. Not to mention this is an amazing coral that holds an almost majestic look when in colony size. Feel free to Post pics of your Duncan and share what makes them thrive for you.

LIGHTING: Low to Moderate lighting is recommended but seem to color up near the Moderate range.

TEMPERAMENT: Peaceful and does really well near non aggressive corals.

WATERFLOW: Low water flow with alternating current.

CARE LEVEL: Moderate.

DIET: They feed through photosynthesis, but benefit from target feeding meaty foods.

Here ya go! Have mine about half way up in the tank under 2 250w MH, feed 1-2 times a week and they love to eat! Great growth

I love mine, but I don't understand why the tenticals are all short and fat.

Those are a sweet color combo, never seen them like that before. Mine are in a good amount of flow so maybe that has something to do with it??

Mine when my clowns would host them.

Sitting on the sandbed under ai vegas leds.

I will try and get some photos together tomorrow. I really like my duncan coral. He was one of my first purchased corals, and the first to really take off. He started with 2 heads and now has about ~10 polyps (growing skeleton is a problem in my tank).

Here is mine that I used to have. I kept in on the sand under a 150w MH. I also found that higher flow it would get longer tentacles and lower flow it would get short and fat tentacles
