Looking for some input. 150 gallon reef. 28” high. Running 3 xr15pros using coral Ab+ at 75% with white upped to 20%. Par at bottom is 120. Alk 9.5. Cal. 420. Temp 76. Sal 1.025. Nitrates and phosphate undetectable. Dosing aqua forest 3 part 18 mg per day. Two maxspect 330 at 40% max flow. I have a hammer, elegance and lobo with softies and clam. Currently fallow because of ich outbreak. (Lesson learned)

Tank is about 3 months

20 gallon fuge with Chaeto and marine pure blocks and skimmer.

Feed reef chili once a week and krill and my sis about the same.

The lps just have not done well and show very slow tissue recession. Worried about lights being too high or not enough nutrients because fish aren’t being feed.

My flow was probably too high but turned it down by half to 40%, elegance was tucked away and now it has started to not look so great.

Been in hobby for 30+ years, recently started reef back up after 10 year absence. Always looking for new ideas and thoughts so any are appreciated.

Thanks
Brad

To the hobby!

Young tank, loads of nutrient export with little to no nutrients is likely the cause. Your corals need some N03 and P04 in the water column to be healthy.

Alkalinity at 9.5 is a little high for no nutrients.

Placement of your LPS should be mid to low in the tank.

Pictures help.
