I plan on setting up multiple frag tanks with closed loops systems in my garage while keeping the number of sumps as little as possible (maybe like 2 of em but each 200g volume or something along that line). I’m just wondering if LPS and Zoas really do release toxins which would irritate SPS cuz from what i’ve been reading, carbon reactors may induce rtn in sps, especially acros. should i keep lps and zoas in a separate tank and sump or is it fine.

Most zoas have very little palytoxin....not enough to even worry about.

Now Palyanthids. Different story when the polyps are irritated

I don’t plan on keeping palys in these systems. maybe in the softie tank so i can control carbon reactor usage just for those things. i know zoas don’t release that much toxins but in just wondering if that little bit is enough to make sps grow slower than it should and maybe make it less colorful. i’m very inexperienced with sps lol but i’m just tryna get the best color and growth.

It's good you're thinking things through but in this case it's nothing to worry about. You could have zoas growing at the base rick where SPS are attached with zero effect

Zoas can still cause damage to acros, it's called warfare. Lost a small colony of millepora due to eagle eyes growing around it. They are basically colonial anemones so yes, they can damage SPS if allowed to engulf the coral.

There are many coral that you don't want physically touching eachother some zoas choke out other coral the same way gsp would just not as fast. But, I was taking the ops question to just refer to toxins in the water column. If your referring to only toxins in the column and no physical contact you'll be fine. I have zoa euphelia and acropora in my tank and the acros grow fine, granted I don't have a tank without zoas to compare growth but most grow pretty fast once settled and show great color to the point that if there is any stunted growth id say it's minor enough to not worry.
