I a bright red long tentacle anemone from the LFS yesterday. It’s doing great - fully expanded. Was attached to the side wall in the observation tank.

Issue I’m having is that I dug out the sand (4” deep) up against a rock so it could attach the the glass and be wedged against the rock as well.

This morning woke up and it’s attached to a rock along the back wall - get it move it, redig and bury it. I watch as it climbs out of the sand and up the rock some— so I really have an LTA? Is it just a bubble tip - to foot extends much longer than a bta

Tank has been up for about three years with bubble tips that are anchored in the rocks and not moving

One on the right is what was said to be a LTA - the one on the left is one of my BTA’s -

It's obviously not happy in the position your trying to get it into, possibly to much flow or light or even the opposite? Just let it find its own natural spot, this will work better long term for both of you :)
Once settled you could possibly make it move but I would say let it settle and find its own first.... It may surprise you and move There on its own :) :)

It has moved up the rocks some (makes me also think that is why it’s a BTA)

Below is a better picture of the foot on the rock.

And yes agree I need to let it run around awhile and find its place. The others I have settled down after awhile

That a bubble tip, hope you didn’t pay the price of a red LTA

79.99 for it. - I will going back and talking with them. I should have know better just never seen one that red, as big of tentacles and as big as that when it was full at the store. - at least its settled now and expanding and the clowns have now moved over to it

Thanks -feeling a bit dumb on this one

I think I may have gotten even luckier - I need to take a better pic of it now that’s it’s settled, colored up and extended - believe it could be a red Sherman bubble tip

Hard to get a good pic of it - tomorrow when my whites are on during mid day I’ll get a better pic
