I purchased this wrasse about two weeks ago. He acclimated well (drip method for about an hour). He was out and active for the first few days, then I noticed my chalk bass bullying him and that he came out less. At the start of the second week I didn’t see him at all. A two days ago I noticed that he appeared to be dead and stuck to the underside of my in tank skimmer. When I went to move the skimmer to retrieve the dead fish, I noticed he was still moving but very slowly (see the video). He has no spots on him at all, but is breathing very heavy

should I remove him to a quarantine tank? If so should I do anything? Or just monitor him with good water quality?

Great idea to move the fish into a QT. Had the same thing happen to a goby awhile back. The poor thing was being terrorized by a Starry Blenny. Stress will kill fish. They can have strokes, heart attacks, just like us.

I have a Lubbock wrasse to. I had him in QT after buying him from a bad store. He ate the first day but after that he would just lay on the bottom of the tank and not really do anything! I contacted humblefish and he said never had to much luck with these fish but he did recommend using general cure soaked food. These fish are known to have internal parisites. I did 100% w/c and he started acting normal again. I think they are vary sensitive to amounia. I hope he makes it, good luck!
