My goby tried to off herself yesterday 
. I was cooking (thankfully) and for some reason just wanted to look at the tank. It’s in easy view of the kitchen since the off is/kitchen is basically one large room. As I walked up Melody comes by the tank too, ever my shadow. She sniffs on the floor, steps back and looks at me. I look down and see her. I thought it was a slug lol. She was sticky, and alive. I held her in the tank for a second and she gulped some water.
I’ve not seen her since. She’s most likely in the rocks. When I set the other tank up one of the clowns did the same, and I had her back in shortly after as well. She’s fine. This is a slightly less of a drop, so I’m hopeful. However the female mac leapt from this very tank and didn’t make it. It’s quite a drop for any of them. I’m just hoping she’s healthy enough to recover. I’d monitor if I could see her.
The Fluval flex 15 is now on hold. Next pay day I should technically have another 100 do with the one I have put back, it seems a kraken lid will be on order. I know I can’t use the glass I used for the macs, because of ph. It’s an AIO system.
I wanted to shop for rocks lol.

Our standard production lead time is 3-4 weeks (regardless of cutouts or not) and we have expedited production available which reduces the time to 1 week or less.Saw her yesterday evening
Anyone know the time for kraken lids? I’m just getting the non custom one for the tank. I’m not sure if I should wait for my next paycheck or if I should look into the DD. I know that one’s a pain to assemble.

A friend has a jumpguard kit, sans corners. I’m going to try and print those lol. But it’ll allow me to get the tank I need, cover the tank and save for the better lid in the near future. I think he is going to let me trade some calurpa for it

Ok so friend found most of the kit… he wants 100 for it. I politely declined because that’s way too much for parts of a kit that I don’t know if I can get to work….so for now I’ve put some seran wrap over the top minus the sump. It’s not ideal but I’ll just get the kraken when I can

Been an eventful few days.
Since I decided to pass on the lid kit, I used seran wrap (mentioned that above too) But I’m annoyed by having toniepn it and close it. So I put the printed portal I made awhile back. It works just fine lol. Just tacky. Anywho, I went ahead with the flex purchase because I felt it would be rude to say I wanted it then back out simply because he wanted to overcharge on the kit.
When he brought the tank and stand ( both are in great shape so the price was more than fair on that) I saw why he was asking so much in the jumpguard. I don’t know the brand but it seems the entirety was built from metal. I think it was for reptile tanks. I explained the risk of rust. He also has a saltwater tank so I bagged him some calurpa. He brought me some snails. Trumpets? Rabbits? Idk. The shells are grey and they seem spiraled. Trumpet snails in fw. He also brought me six endlers and I’ve no clue where to shove these things lol.
Ms Goby has been out and perched a good bit, and I’m glad I thought of the seran wrap. She does seem to have a slight mark on one side. Doesn’t seem to be an infection, nor does it bother her. I’ve seen no flashing and her fins are spread nicely and she looks good for her trip beach side lol.
I’m having an issue with the auto top off, where it’ll overfill the return chamber causing the alarm to sound. I can raise the alarm(probably will) but I’d like it to not overfill like that as in such a small tank I’m sure it’ll affect salinity. I did turn the knob in there to nano so it’ll fill slowly.
I have added three of the juvie pallifina to the tank, as it’s not cycled and I don’t want to overwhelm it. Today it has an odor, so I added carbon and will toss a bit of moss in there.

I’d appreciate some prayers from you guys. I’m having a really hard time handling things right now.
My River is in Renal failure. There’s nothing to be done, just keep her comforted or euthanize which Hubbs absolutely refuses. But I can’t keep her comforted when I’m not there. I’m across the street and I’m in tears knowing that there’s a chance I won’t be there for her when she leaves and it’s really eating me up inside. The past few days she’s lost control of her bladder and drinking a ton. Stumbling lack of a real appetite. We knew it was coming. This morning when I got up she went to the bathroom, didn’t drink very much though. She’s weak. Second time letting her out she refused to go. Third time I made her.
Taking Russ over there for the day is out of the question. He will stress River more, and so would melody because she’s such a rude dog. She’s not allowed around children because she was never socialized with them and I don’t want her to hurt him. She’s shady. Melody has been rude to River for the past couple days but today, when River is just not feeling it, she’s showing real concern. Not like Melody at all.
This on top of my daughter’s miscarriage and my mother in laws declining health too. I just want to climb in a tiny little hole and hide with my dog til she’s gone.
