So this is the current look of the tank. It’s nothing impressive. I got to thinking this morning, I have one rock( left side bottom) with a very small palythoa colony growing on it and on the right is where the three rock flowers reside. They are pretty deep in there. Suggestions on how to make them let go? I thought the layout would be good for flow but it doesn’t seem to be. I don’t have rock for “arches”. You can almost make out how many pieces of rock that are in there. When I redo, should I pull the sand as well? Or just move it out of the way? This is under just whites BTW. I’m still trying to find the best spectrum for coral health and viewing.

I’m so frustrated. I’ve had a bad couple years and I’m so close to shutting down this system.

My husband went into the hospital last week with extremely high blood sugar. Came home on insulin and meds. It’s fluctuating more than my tank does. It’s stressful.

We are out of funds. He can’t work, my income is 200 a month and then his mom helps with everything. I can’t get ahead. Now my tank is looking hard horrible with brown stringy stuff growing. Dads palythoa is closed and not opening. I think it’s the RODI but I don’t have funds for that especially now.

I don’t know what to do. Waterchanges makes it worse. The TDS reads at 3 Nitrates are always high. I’ve lost all the coral from January except the rock flower and some of the zoas. I have failed this hobby and I accept that.

I used the paper towel test and that was after 30 minutes. It’s still growing thicker.

I’ve lost everything except the rock flowers and they aren’t looking well.

well, minus the fish. All four are doing well. I’m defeated. I lost two of the three powerheads. Of course out of warranty and this would be the third time Current replaced them. And shocker, I don’t have funds for a new set.
I’ve even started to vodka dose to try and get the tank to look at least OK.
I’ve lowered whites. I’ve went all blue. I’ve blacked out. I’ve done constant water changes and I’ve backed off. I’ve tried everything aside for a complete tear down and burn. I’m close to that.

My happy place is dang depressing. I’m sorry dad. :(

i'm sure i have a few cheapie powerheads you can have...
feel free to pop in like you own the place anytime...:)

Sorry, I’ve had a lot going on since the last time I posted lol. My grandbaby keeps me busy! Tanks still as it was, full of brown icky dinos. I’m sending some off to be IDed today so hopefully can get a good plan in order. I’ve spoke with Hubbs about a UV sterilizer and if I’m told that will help get them gone Soon as we get some tax money back it’s my first purchase. (Ok second, house taxes are first)

Lol I do take commissions when my hands allow it :) what do you have in mind? I’ll warn you I’m exceptionally slow paced especially during either because the pain.
