I have been seeing these all over the internet and am officially curious about them. They seem like they could benefit my reef tank, but I wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them.

They are MAX up to salinity of 1.015, thus I'd say pretty useless but definitely not freshwater only.

Yup, moss balls. You can find these at petco and petsmart. They're most commonly used in betta tanks

Guess I had no clue since I never had a a freshwater tank.

I would still call them tribbles, but I’m sure most folks wouldn’t have a clue what that is.

Shoot! Might be worth a try if you've got a nano...but I feel like there are better nutrient export options out there like chaeto, mangroves, or other macro algaes.
