Welcome! Glad you joined. Actual books are rare these days, but I've put a link below. I miss books that we hold... iPad reading isn't the same

Have you considered starting your build thread? I found its a great place to document my tank's evolution for myself. I started tank first then joined, so I'm still finding myself going back collecting pictures & updating historically as well as current state. Once you create your first post in your thread and link it to your account, they will give you build badge (look left, under my ID)

Welcome to R2R! I haven't read that book from A. Thiel but I'm sure it is good. I bought all of my books at LFSs or directly from the publisher to support them and I never ran into that title at the stores but it was on my list. I do have Thiel's Advanced Reef Keeping which is also very good. There are a number of good saltwater-hobby-related authors out there and several good threads on here. Also Jake Adams of Reef Builders likes to discuss books from time to time. You may want to check out some of his Reef Therapy podcasts. There was at least one that was all about books. The internet is great but sometimes it is better to go back to the sources of many of our reefing-legends to get a fresh perspective.

Welcome, It's not a book but I've found the BRS YouTube channel very helpful. They have 52 weeks of reefing that's a step-by-step guide on what do to every week for your first year with the tank. I'd watch each week as my tank progressed for that week when I set up my first tank.
