LuxCore 250 MH Ballast

I just purchased a pair of these ballast and Im wondering what is the purpose of the plug circled in red? The ballast did not come with any instructions and I can't find anything only.

Im assuming but the ballast has a plug on the other side and there is a 6ft cord for the power coming into the ballast so not sure what that extra plug is for.

So that plug also runs into the white adapter that goes to the fixture? I've never seen that before. Maybe for possible moonlight on a fixture? I know Hamilton does a separate plug for such things

Correct. However if you look at the white adapter going to the fixture there is only one cord not two like on the white adapter coming from the ballast.

@Broadfield are you using luxcore ballast with your spectra fixture? If you did your ballast come with the extra plug?

Mine are the same as yours but don't have that extra 120v pigtail that you speak of... weird. I have the 250/400w models, but I don't see why they would be any different.

I'll just give Coralvue a call on Monday and find out.

Are you using 400w bulbs on your reefer or just got the 250/400w ballast in case you wanted to try 400w bulbs?
