So I currently have a 75G tank up and running for about a month now. Previously I had a 35G and had a few fish die from unknown disease so I broke down the tank and quarantined my fish in a 20L for 8 weeks and treated with Prazipro and copper (as outlined by Humbletfish). I had a couple of corals, inverts and live rock I quarantined in a separate tank. After the 8 weeks I added both to my new 75G setup.

Perhaps I didn’t wait long enough because immediately after adding fish to the 75 my larger clownfish developed white bumps all over his body. I thought he would die but he’s been dealing with it for a month now and has maintained his appetite. I also noticed none of the other fish have any symptoms including the smaller clownfish, a coral Beauty, 2 neon Blue gobies and a lawnmower Blenny. She isn’t being bullied at all and overall acts normal although sometimes he floats vertically in the corner for about 30mins at a time then proceeds to swim normally. Sometimes twitches but not excessively. I would say the bumps are sometimes more noticeable and sometimes not so much. I added a 36w UV sterilizer when I noticed it first so I’m not sure if it’s stopped the spread.

I think it’s ich but the fact none of the other fish have symptoms and the fact it doesn’t seem to completely “fall off” makes me think it’s something non-contagious only this fish has. Also the bumps are ‘bumpy’, they appear to slightly bulge out; not flat. Hopefully someone can ID by pics. Thanks

Those are some pretty clear pictures. The spots look too large to be ich. One trick is to map out some of the spots - if the same spots are in the exact same location 3 days later, it is not ich. That said, it also isn't Lymphocystis. So what is it? IDK! Sometimes fish develop granulomas that mar the fish's skin for awhile. You definitely want to keep an eye on things, but I don't see anything to treat at this moment.

Yes I initially thought it was ich; but from my observations so far the spots seem to diminish in size/visibility over the course of a few days but grow later in the same area. I'd say some spots are always there but only shrink. They also seem a little larger than a grain of salt, more like a white pimple on its body.

I'll try to observe more closely over the next few week. Thanks!
