You could drip some selcon into the blackworms before feeding, but I couldn't say whether they'll eat it and gutload, or die from it . . .

Definitely lympho. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point. Keep up with the black worms and selcon.

You can safely combine those antibiotics with copper, though you should make sure to add extra O2 to the QT via airstone or small powerhead. Watch for bacterial blooms that will suck more O2 out of the water as well.

I'd like to thank you and @Humblefish for your help. After going through the entire medication process, the Swallowtail cleared up very nicely. Her fins healed up and she's eating like a pig. Her quarantine period was finished yesterday and she was added to the display tank this afternoon. Unfortunately, the wrasse didn't last long enough to benefit from the treatment. He went downhill very quickly. Thanks again for your help.

Lympho can grow over almost any part of the body, even internal organs.

Hi Folks,

As always a huge thanks for the expert contributions to these discussions, would be impossible to diagnose and treat issue without your guidance!

After 10 days at Cupramine 0.5ppm my MI's 'large whitespots' are almost certainly lympho.

I've started treating for what I thought was a secondary bacterial infection (thinking tail rot due to the white spot) but it looks like from all these Lympho photos that ragged fins are just another common symptom of Lympho (i.e. injuries at the site where the lympho is / was) - is that the case?

I might still treat bacterial just in case the 'mysterious brown\black lines' are something.

@melypr1985 - do you know what those lines on his sides might be by any chance? They have started on the other side of the body too

Staying with the theme...this guy has what is thought to be lympho but has been treated for bacterial infection for about 4-6 days so far. I got a couple good pics and wanted to get an opinion as to if these areas are infection or just lympho or possibly something else. Been in copper for two weeks, added metroplex, furan 2 and kanaplex for the infection. Sorry for the dirty water but feeding them gets the fish close enough to get better pics.

@JMM744 That looks more like an infection to me. Can you transfer him to another QT (at least 10 feet away) and continue ABX treatment in there? You aren't likely to see much improvement with copper (immunosuppressant) also in the water.

I don’t have any way of doing that at present. The only th8ng I can offer is to stop copper and clean the 5ank and do a 100% water change and then do the antibiotic schedule. I will try figuring something out but am very limited on space.

It’s not going to happen. I can’t get ten ft’ between tanks. Would a fresh water dip and bath do any good? I hate getting them all wired but if it would help I would do that. I have rally and prazipro. Also sulfplex, melafix, malalchite green and methylene blue. Also general cure. Thanks humblefish.

I would certainly treat it like a bacterial infection. Humble is very right (as usual ) that it would be best to treat him with antibiotics without the presence of copper. If you could manage the transfer into a new/sterile QT it wouldn't put him behind with his ich treatment..... it would help him along with the added benefit of helping the antibiotics do their job.

@Swordstool Dosing antibiotics into a DT w/rock & sand is unlikely to provide much benefit, since the medication(s) will rapidly be biodegraded out of the water. If you wanted to treat with a mild antibiotic (e.g. erythromycin) to prevent a possible secondary infection, I would do so in a sterile QT.
