Hi i have a angel with bad lymphoma he just got out of copper and is in a sterile tank now. My question is, my DT is clear of lymphoma and i dont want 2 introduce it to my DT. From what i read was that if u feed it vitamin rich foods and good water quality it should go away. I dont want 2 take the chance fir my other fish to get it. What should i do? Give this fish away or put him in after hes done his 2 weeks of sterile tank?

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure lymphoma is a very bad human disease. Like as in cancer of the lymphatic system.

Lymphocystis is contagious. It is however usually handled well by most fish's immune systems. You usually only see the outward symptoms of Lympho when a fish's immune system is under stress. Copper treatment is the most common time when symptoms are visible. Great water conditions and a wide variety of good vitamin, fat, and protein rich foods are the best treatment for this "condition."

It's a virus. It's probably in every tank. If your other fish are healthy you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Angels and butterflies almost always have an outbreak in copper because of immune system suppression.

Every fish that had lympho in QT cleared up within a few weeks once in DT and I've never seen it show up again, I've also never had a fish get an outbreak in DT.
