I bought 6 Lyretail Anthias this past weekend. The first one died two days ago. I drip acclimated them for 30 minutes. Today I noticed one swimming vertically and resting on the sand in the corner. I tested my water after the first one died and nothing out of the ordinary. Then I had the lfs test my water and again nothing.

Probably a food issue. They really are particular to what they eat. Wanna do mysis or something for a while then try coating pellet in mysis and see if they will take that eventually

The one that I'm concerned about swims fine probably 60% of the time. I've noticed she's pale compared to the rest. When she stopped in the corner the other female checked on her she snapped back.

I suppose it could be anything internal. Which makes it hard to diagnose. Let me ask you, do you feel confident that your 30 minute drip acclimation was complete. Having a refractometer and a good digital temperature device on hand to assist in connecting the salt and temperature of your DT and lfs water is always on my mind when I get home with new livestock. Salinity in lfs are purposely low. That’s why suffer from ich outbreaks once they introduce their new fish to their tanks. Parasites hate low salinity. Something to think about. Good luck.

One is now sitting on the bottom and one is swimming vertically. The one on the bottom did not eat and the one that was vertical ate a bunch
