Today is it's first day in my system. It's been hiding in a cave and won't come out. It doesn't appear to be ill and gets along with the others (2 green Chromis and 1 Ocellaris) but it's just hiding.

Is this normal? All of the tests conducted turn show that they have good water parameters.

Its not unusual for them to hide the first day. It should be out and eating by tomorrow. I have 5 in a mixed reef and they're out in the water column constantly.

Well, it can be kinda normal or at least common, sometimes they do just hide and not come out, and that would be especially common when you only have one, they really need to be in a group of at least 3-4

Shyness on day 1 is pretty normal, and may last a few days.

Lyretails are a pretty hardy anthias and will be fine being kept singly, especially in a 50g.
