Lyretail Anthias (Maldives) - Brooklynella!

Two days ago I took delivery from Live Aquaria:

2 x Indian Ocean Lyretail Anthias, Female (Maldives) - Small
1 x Bicolor Blenny (Sri Lanka) - Medium

They were packed with a warming pouch and the water was still at a good temp. After floating for temperature matching, they all went into Sg matched 29G QT (1.017) with copper already at 1ppm. No drip, transferred by hand. Lights stayed off for several hours.

The Anthias looked great, if maybe a little thin when viewed top down. Active, started eating quickly. One was a little less lively than the other but still good for fresh out of the bag. See videos.

Next morning one is dead. All day today I watched the other very closely. Saw a fair amount of scratching and what I think looks like velvet(?). But she continued to eat well so I made a mix of frozen Reef Plankton, Mysis, General Cure + Focus and fed that several times throughout the day. This evening she got a 5 min freshwater dip which she took well. I didn't see anything come off. See photos.

Does it look like velvet or something else?

I've been slowly adding copper, 1ml every few hours, testing each time. Still not much above 1ppm - but the API test kit certainly has limitations.

Anything I should be doing differently?

I do see a faint pale area below the leading edge of her dorsal fin. It doesn't look like velvet to me (which is usually visible over the whole fish), but possibly Brooklynella, Uronema or a mild bacterial infection.

@Big G, @Humblefish, @HotRocks @4FordFamily - do you see anything here that we can use to help this little lady?

I have to agree with @Maritimer here. Looks very "brookish". Uronema can also be common in anthias.

I would add Metroplex to your QT following the directions on the bottle. Continue for 10 days.

This should treat for Brook/uronema. If symptoms don't clear up after 10 days you may have to treat with Kanaplex + furan-2 in the case of a bacterial infection.

"White-ish" areas like that should be looked upon with great suspicion. If they were my fish, I'd get them in some NFG asap.

Thanks for the input! Sadly she didn't make it through the night. The Blenny and the male Anthias that arrived yesterday are still doing well. The male is much bigger and more robust looking than the females were.

So now I have the male Anthias that did well from Friday through yesterday, but started hiding today with no interest in food.
When I could get a good look I think I see the sloughing/slimy signs of Brook. I'm a little confused by things I read about treating for it.
Copper is at 2ppm now. I've had GC dosed for days and refreshed the dose this morning, having done a 25% water change last night. This evening I added 4 spoons of Metroplex (29G tank) to boost that after noticing the signs of Brook.
Is Metro supposed to be good enough for Brook? I feel like I can't do a Formalin dip (or even ParaGuard) with copper on board. Right?
How about Ruby Reef Rally?
I've just set up a third QT for some new arrivals coming tomorrow since they'll need the lower copper level starting point.

Amazingly the male is still alive today, but still hiding. The few glimpses I've gotten he doesn't look worse, maybe even better.

Should I get him out for a dip/bath? Just FW? I have Rid-Ich+ and ParaGuard, nothing stronger on hand yet. Don't think either of those should be used with copper but would it be OK as a temporary bath?

I think you’re dealing with an infection, personally. I’d just dose kanaplex metroplex and furan 2 at this point. Increase oxygen exchange with powerheads aimed up or bubblers, both is even better. Get rid of all GC with a large water change first. Just copper and those meds.

You could also abandon copper and treat with just NFG as I’m pretty sure that’s an infection based on that last photo but it’s tough to be certain. I’d use the first course of action. Sorry for the trouble

Thanks, I had Metroplex in (as well as the metro that comes with GC) already and it didn't seem to be helping. So hopefully the alphabet soup of extras will.
I did about a 40% water change and kept the copper level the same so as not to add any stress. Then dosed Kanaplex, Metroplex and Furan-2. I really hate the color of the water with Furan-2 but oh well!

No worries! It's just crushing - he was so gorgeous the first 2-3 days.

Incidentally, the Bicolor Blenny in the same tank has so far been completely unaffected. Doing great.

Yeah, considering I've spent about $100 on a variety of meds already I probably shouldn't sneeze at that.

The male Anthias didn't make it.

And now the previously unaffected Blenny is looking bad - a 'ghostly' appearance. The Furan-2 water color makes it hard to observe well:
