Hey,

I’m trying to see if my anthias have any types of parasites. I’ve been doing lots of reading on here on treatments but I’m still not sure if there is an issue to treat. It started about a week ago when I observed what I thought was a white poop. Upon removing it from the tank and placing it on a white paper towel, it was more of a beige brown color. Tonight I saw another poop floating around that was long not sure if it would be considered stringy but it looked like it had a bubble in it. Almost looking like a tiny inflated stomach. The first two photos are from last week. The last one is from tonight. Tonight’s photo looks like 2 pieces but it was attached and deflated upon removing from the tank. I’ll add a photo from when it was in the tank.

Overall the fish look great. All their colors are amazing although my male is very picky and only eats PE Mysis. I’ve had them for about a month now with no other issues. They came from my LFS that I know doses copper and QT’s their livestock. I picked up General cute and focus last week but haven’t started dosing since I’m not sure if I have an issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

White "and" stringy is what we look for. White alone can just be the food it is eating.

I have 3 females and 1 male. I try to feed 3 times a day. I have hikari S pellets on an autofeeder. Only the females devour those pellets. I rotate nano reef frenzy, PE mysis, calanus, and Reef Nutrition R.O.E. The females eat it all. The male will only eat the mysis. Females are half the size of the male. He’s about 3-4”. Those were my first fish and doing well but wasn’t sure about the poop. I also have two cleaner shrimp, some scarlet hermits and a bunch of snails nassarius snails. So I would have to medicate the food if there are issues.

I will be setting up a QT in the future for all my new fish.
