Context
  • 4 Lyretail Anthias + 1 Bellus angel in QT
  • Bellus angel came in with velvet, treated with FW dip and brought copper up to 1.50ppm within 24 hours (last night)
  • 1 Lyretail died this morning, I'm guessing due to stress of copper + the below white lines
Of my 3 Lyretail's in QT, 2 are showing these white lines in the picture below. Any idea what this could be? It kind of looks like Uronema... I have General Cure on hand. If it IS Uronema, do I dose in the water column or food?

Dose the water and food. If you have Metro use that instead because the dosage of metronidazole is higher than in GC and use double the dosage on the package. You can dose the GC with the food as that will help with other internal parasites.
I’m not sure that’s uronema but I would look at treating for it anyways as I’m sure you know once the sores start there isn’t much success in saving the fish.I wish you the best of luck.

Are you suggesting using double dosage of GC if I don't have Metro available?

No, because GC has Prazi in it as well. I’ve never dosed GC at that strength. I just know metroplex at twice the recommended dosage seems to be the popular treatment for Uronema
