I lost one of my lyretails today. Couldn't find it anywhere in the tank. It was stuck in a hole I couldn't get it out by hand. I'm letting my hermits take care of it. Will this be okay? Or will my tank not be able to handle the bioload. It's a 75 gallon the anthias was about 1.5 inches.

If your tank is fully established, you're fine. The hermits and nitifying bacteria will take care of it. If on the other hand, your tank is new, or very recently set up, it is best to try and remove it. If you can't get it, don't worry about it.

Sorry for your loss.

Brandon:
Let's look at the possible cause of death. I know that your tank is relatively new. I'm guessing it's fully cycled.
1. When did you set up this tank?
2. Have you checked your ammonia lately?
3. How many fish do you have? What are they?

X2. Don't go taking tank apart to find it. Watch ammonia levels, however.
