Ordered 1 male and 2 females. They'll go into qt, 37 gal tall with an aquaclear 70 hob & powerhead. Also 3 royal grammas will join them. Tank has a thin layer of sand, pvc towers, and fake plants.

Should I add a piece or 2 of live rock from my sump or frag/coral qt tank? Both have pods. Could also drop in a sponge to either sump or frag qt tank to collect some pods this weekend and add that to just float in tank. If I have to treat tank I'll have to remove the rock back to the coral tank as there is no fish in that tank

Going to make a pod hotel out of that plastic corrigated stuff as the frag tank is literally crawling with pods.

Any other advice for getting the anthias through qt? Will feed the qt tank and seed with biospira. It's been set up a few months but no fish in it for a good month. Just sitting fishless.

i had my qt tank with 2 clown fish and added 3 lyre tail anthias with no problems. They would hide alot, I had some pvc pipe and 2 pieces of rock. I feed only misys shrimp as they would not eat flakes or pellets. I kept them in qt tank but did not medicate. after 30 days I added them to my main display tank and no issues. i feed them 3 time sin QT tank, I now feed 2 times a day home made frozen fish food and 1 time pellets to see if they will eat it.

add fish and make sure to feed misys shrimp 3 times a day.

thanks @Xclusive Reef I feed a mix of about 5-7 different cubes of frozen food with some homemade and or larrys or rods added. I make up a squeeze bottle that lasts about 3 days for both tanks. Feed my one tank 3-4 times a day with the dispars. And yeah, I have high nitrates but tank is thriving. Fish and corals fat and happy. Will plan to do water changes of about 4 gal daily or every other day as a hob filter isn't the best.

I have 4 here that I just introduced to my system. They are pretty various eaters who constantly hunt the open water column for food. I feed at least twice a day - morning and evening - and now considering a 3rd with a auto feeder. They are constantly hunting, swimming, playing or fighting and remind me a lot of a hummingbird under water. Mysis and enriched brine shrimp is what t hey attack the most. When I feed I know mix in some flake or pellets so they get to know it and I see them attack it as well. Funny enough when they seem me coming they are all out in the open waiting. They know food is coming.

Super awesome sauce fish for sure. Glad I picked them up but boy do they like to hunt and eat.
