Hi , for a couple of weeks i house 4 lyretail female's , al doing great and fantastic active fish , my favorite tbh !
Now i do not own a male "yet" i do notice some terretorial behaviour in pattern's of following eachother and occasionaly mouth lock / ripped fin . I am not stressed about the behaviour since its not getting them to hide or not repair fin's .
1 of them stand's out as a the dominant one , his fins are mostly fully opened and sche/he would be the most terretorial of them al .
Could that be transitioning in a male ? How long does it take to change colors or fins to male ?
Or will it just stay as dominant female behaviour ?
Thanks in advance !
