i just noticed that my lyretail hawkfish has pop eye in one eye and the other eye is cloudy. This just appeard over the last 24 hours. I have him in a 125 gallon reef tank and here are my water parameters:
Salinity 1.025
PH 8.2
Amon. 0
NO 2 is 0
NO3 is 0
Calcium is 420
Temp is 80 degrees

Does any one have any suggestions on how to treat for the Popeyes's with out trying to catch him and put him in the hospital tank?

You can use Focus to bind Kanaplex to food when you feed him. You may want to run carbon in your system while doing but it is considered reef safe.

If it weren't for the cloudy eye, I'd say try Epsom salt (1 tablespoon per 5 gallons) to help relieve swelling in the popeye. However, the cloudy eye indicates an infection is beginning. Optimally, you would want to treat with antibiotics in a QT.

@Brew12 gave you the only "reef safe" option. You can also food soak vitamin supplements (Selcon, Zoecon, Vita-chem) to help the immune system fight the infection off naturally. However, understand the "reef safe" option may not be enough.

Good catch @Brew12! Flukes in the eyes would look like the photos below:

I was able to get a better look at the fish by turning off my LEDs and I used a small light and the other eye is clear. Do you think it would be OK to treat with Epson salt? Other than the left eye he is still acting normal, swimming and eating. Thanks for the help on this. You are what makes this hobby so enjoyable

With the other eye clear, using Epson salt should be a good option. If you don't see improvement in 3 or 4 days you probably need to move on to using antibiotics.
Most of us love helping others, this hobby is almost more about the people than the fish and coral! :)
