I have a trio 1m/2f of lyrtail anthias. The male and one female is really going at it. He chases her she chases him and there's lip locking. Are they spawning or is there something else going on?

Trying to see how is going to be the boss.
Hopefully the one female was not beginning the change at purchase, I have had a sub male in mid transition for nearly a year before it did finally become male too, and that resulted in both males fighting.
Look for a slight spike at dorsal, that begins before the color change.
I like at least 3 females myself, spreads the aggression around so not one female gets badgered too much.
