I am going to purchase this today to replace my Hanna that I can't seem to trust. I see the same exact model number but I see a black case version and a green case version. Is there a difference? Should I not get the green case? I can buy the green one $20 cheaper than the black. Wondering if it is just new old stock with a case difference? Or, is it something else. I need to overnight this, so if someone can help out in the next hour or two that would be helpful, please. Thank you in advance.

The green is the older version and it changed to the one with the black plastic.
As far as I know the color was the only difference. I’ve used the green one for several years and like it.

In reading the reviews on BRS it is an either you love it or you hate it device. I have the hanna hand held that I don't think works great. I am also getting the High Precision Hydrometer as a failsafe, as well as solutions. I am a little concerned with my current salinity situation not being what I think it is. I may be off 1.0 - 0.5 PPT, and I know, but I have OCD

Just be sure to check it against a standard after you calibrate it.
