I'd be stoked if it came back to Southern California. I attended my first in 1998 in Long Beach, CA. 1998! I was a freshman in highschool and the Padres were in the world series! I'm now almost 30 and a college graduate. I think it's time for a West Coast MACNA. Southern California is really the epicenter of our hobby. Most of the countries fish, and corals come through here and, we have more fish stores in a 200 mile stretch of coast line than anywhere in the US! I'm very excited for a trip to South Florida and a trip to where it is next year but 2015 I'd love to stay in my home town and go to MACNA!

I think MACNA should come to a place where it has never been... North Dakota all the way! Welcome to Fargo everyone. Soak in the midwestern hospitality and see all the northern midwest has to offer.

Benefits:
- Inexpensive places to stay
- Large venue opportunities exist
- Exponentially growing and expanding city
- Local reef club with MASNA membership
- International airport with direct service to many other large airports (inexpensive as well on select carriers)
- Destination state where many high level speakers have never visited or spoke at. It could complete a goal of speaking in every state...
- Untapped area for sales with limited availability on livestock and high end equipment

I know it won't happen any time soon, but one day I hope it can come this far north.

Technically if it did end up in LA, I could deal as I have a direct flight there from Fargo for around $200 per ticket if booked early enough. As long as there is a direct flight there, I will try to convince the boss...

Why do coasts get all the attention? Cdness has a good point. The Midwest is virtually full of areas craving the merch available and especially the corals. We don't have an ocean...we have tons of bluegill and carp. Come on guys...give us a taste of the ocean

If MACNA Des Moines was the cheapest there you go, move it to Omaha, Sioux Falls, Rapid City (Sturgis and corals....that could be fun) keep it central, and make it more affordable for everyone involved

MACNA 2014 must be totally hush hush. No leakage of location and we are days away. I guess the true unveiling is at MACNA this year. I was hoping to find out before then!
