Hotel for sure wouldn't shut down, however it could impact vendors coming and going with live stock I would assume. Also the out of towners flying in should may have some canceled flights. I don't know how they would adjust the event for this but lets pray it hooks right (sorry Bermuda).

Hurricane looks like it will be bigger than originally expected, looking at a Monday 8am hit on the east coast and going through mid-Florida.
I’m guessing most will leave (or should) on Sunday early....traffic will be a nightmare on the interstates, and I wouldn’t be surprised If airlines cancel flights on Sunday and Monday for sure.
You should be ok staying at the hotel and riding it out though.

Stay safe all

This happened when I went to MACNA in New Orleans too. I'll take the blame.

Should be excellent for those of us planning to only go on Sunday :(

I just cancelled my flights to Florida on account of the Hurricane. They've upgraded him to a probable Cat 4 on landfall. With the holiday weekend, I was leaving just as it's expected to hit, and therefore, I'd likely get stuck. Unfortunately, I have events the next week I can't afford to miss. This is so disappointing!!!!!!

For those coming into town for MACNA, we live about 21 miles from the event and can take in a few people in the event flights are cancelled and hotels are unavailable, for those attendees and vendors still coming or already here.
We will be there all weekend, staying on-site, feel free to come find us.

Just heard Orlando airport will ceaseoperations at 2am Monday morning.

Some good news though, the models are showing the hurricane may turn north and not make a direct hit on the east coast; still a little early to tell though.
A lot of wind and rain either way.
