That's too bad! I had hoped it could go forward, since it's still several months out, and surely things will be pretty much over by then. I wonder if MACNA 2021 will be in Phoenix, then?

My daughter and I live just east of Phoenix and were stoked that it was going to be here. We would have been able to attend all 3 days and stay late on Sunday for a change. I hope they will have it here next year then!!

MACNA is scheduled several years out.
it hard to predict the fall. So many local club frag swaps have not gone on this year also.

At least …. I travel a lot for my job and don't expect to be going to conferences until Spring 2021 …. and even that may be optimistic.

Fingers crossed they bring it back to the east coach for 2021. It sucks for Phoenix not to have it but Orlando also missed out last year. This is the 3rd event in the past 4 years that has caused issues for MACNA, I hope it's not hurting them too much financially.

Also @Tuffyyyyy Phoenix has never had a convention before. How about the people who have never been? Orlando hosts it like every other year. Also, wasn't it at the Disney resort in Orlando last year?

Last year the MACNA conference was held in Orlando but was limited by a hurricane. I believe that the only other time that MACNA was held in Orlando was 2010.

Phoenix is a good location for a fish convention like MACNA whenever it is able to be held there. Often MACNA (a similar conferences) makes agreements several years in advance so it is a challenge to predict when MACNA will be held.

MACNA is pretty good, at least historically, about not having it in the same location several times. D.C and Orlando seem to be the only repeat locations over the past 20 years.

MACNA was in Orlando last year but it was cut short and attendance was down significantly (including me cancelling my plans) due to an inbound hurricane. I went to the New Orleans one in 2017 too and it was a ghost town due to Hurricane Harvey.
